Our Mission

Nobody should go through cancer treatment without knowing this exists.

Across Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Clearwater, thousands of people are getting through chemotherapy the hard way — nauseated, exhausted, hands and feet gone numb, awake at 3 a.m. Almost none of them were ever told acupuncture could help. That silence is what we're here to break.

Why This Matters to Us

A story we've seen too many times

A woman sits in an infusion chair on a Tuesday morning. She has already lost her hair, her appetite, and most of her sense of what a normal week feels like. Her fingertips tingle so badly she can't button her own shirt. She doesn't complain, because compared to the cancer, this is supposed to be the manageable part.

Nobody tells her that some of it can be eased. Not cured — eased.

That the nausea can loosen its grip, that the neuropathy doesn't have to be permanent, that sleep can come back. She finishes treatment never knowing there was another kind of help sitting fifteen minutes down the road.

We have met too many people like her, too late. That is the whole reason this page exists.

Dr. Kim's work with cancer patients isn't about adding one more appointment to an already overwhelming calendar. It's about giving someone back a little ground — a meal they can keep down, a night of real sleep, enough steadiness in their hands to hold a grandchild. Small things, until they're yours.

What We Promise You

Care built around your treatment, not the other way around

You will never be sold to here

If acupuncture isn't right for what you're facing, Dr. Kim will tell you plainly and point you somewhere better. That conversation is free, and it costs you nothing to have it.

Your oncologist stays in charge

We are the supportive care alongside your treatment, never a replacement for it. We coordinate with your team and share notes when it helps.

You set the pace

Some weeks you'll have the energy to come in. Some weeks you won't. We build care around chemo cycles and hard days, not the other way around.

Your family is welcome

The person driving you to appointments is carrying something heavy too. Caregivers are part of who we look after.

This Isn't Wishful Thinking

Hope, built on something real

When you're facing cancer, hope has to be built on something real. It is. Major cancer bodies already recognize acupuncture as supportive care — most patients simply never hear about it.

ASCO

Endorses acupuncture for cancer pain, chemo-induced nausea/vomiting, and hot flashes (Mao 2022).

JAMA Oncology

Bao 2020 RCT: acupuncture significantly reduces chemo-induced peripheral neuropathy.

NCCN

Lists acupuncture as a Category 1 intervention for cancer-related fatigue (Molassiotis 2012).

JNCI

Garland 2019: acupuncture improved insomnia in cancer survivors.

Coordinated Care

We work alongside your team at Moffitt, AdventHealth, BayCare, and Florida Cancer Specialists.

Evidence-Based

Every protocol follows published guidelines and peer-reviewed research — no promises we can't stand behind.

Caregiver-Aware

We support the spouse, child, or friend who's quietly doing the research at midnight.

If someone you love is in treatment right now, start with a conversation.

Fifteen minutes with Dr. Kim, no cost and no pressure. She'll tell you honestly what acupuncture can and can't do for your situation — even if the answer is that this isn't the right time.
