IVF / IUI cycle support

How long does it take to see results with fertility acupuncture?+
There is no established timeline or guarantee for improved fertility outcomes. We discuss your comfort, stress, medical plan and preferences at consultation. Acupuncture is supportive care; it does not replace evaluation or treatment by a fertility specialist.
How often should I receive fertility acupuncture treatments?+
The schedule is individualized to your goals, comfort and fertility clinic’s plan. We discuss the reasons for any proposed schedule; no frequency guarantees conception or a successful IVF cycle.
Is fertility acupuncture painful?+
Acupuncture is typically not painful. The needles are extremely thin — most patients report only a slight tingling or warmth, and many find the sessions deeply relaxing.
Are there risks or side effects?+
Possible effects include soreness, bruising, minor bleeding or lightheadedness; serious complications are rare but possible. Tell us about medications and pregnancy status. We assess suitability and coordinate with your fertility specialist or pregnancy-care team.
Can acupuncture help conditions like PCOS or endometriosis?+

Evidence does not establish that acupuncture corrects the underlying condition or reliably improves pregnancy or live-birth rates. Should I have acupuncture on the day of my embryo transfer (fresh or frozen/FET)?+
Many IVF patients choose acupuncture shortly before and after an embryo transfer, including frozen embryo transfers (FET). Research results are mixed: some studies suggest it may help some patients feel calmer, and studies have not shown a clear difference in pregnancy rates. Results vary from person to person. We time sessions around your clinic's transfer schedule and always coordinate with your reproductive endocrinologist. Acupuncture supports, and never replaces, your fertility clinic's medical plan.
How long should I continue acupuncture after a positive pregnancy test?+
Tell your OB or midwife about any complementary care. Continued acupuncture is optional and should be assessed for suitability, symptoms and risks; a positive test does not create a required treatment schedule.
